When you decide to go how do you decide where to go? Do you use the old
fashion semi reliable paper map? Or a GPS device such as a Gamin or a Tom-Tom?
Or do you do a search and then print the map?

Ok, you know what the gas/diesel costs at your house how about where you are
going?
What about supplies, food, soda, sun screen, and all that stuff. Think it
will be cheaper at a resort or a camp ground? Hummm...
Before you go a little check list of things that are very important:
- Fluids - check the oil, coolant, brake fluid, all batteries topped off
(older lead acid batteries)
- Tire pressures, check those spares too!
- Lights - check the brake and turn signals, marker lights (better to do it
at night).
- Load - secure your load inside and out, nothing like that awing coming
loose when you turn a corner!
- Tanks - water, gasoline, propane/butane full? The place you are going may
not have these consumables or may be very expensive (I went to Lake Powell for
a day, we took a boat but didn't fill up the gas tank before we left that
little mistake cost us almost three times what we would have paid at home!)
